I love the black and white photos from behind the scenes of Star Wars, which is where I drew the inspiration for this one.

“Solo”

Something finally broke through my mental block and allowed me to sketch Han Solo here. I haven’t created anything Star Wars related yet, which is kind of a shame since it’s one of my favorite things.

This time around I wanted to use the imperfection of my techniques to my advantage, using randomly sized brushes, and all squares.

There is really only one shirt one can wear on a day like today.

Sketchy Sunday - Girl with Stuffed Chewie Doll

This past week was pretty crazy so I didn’t really have the time I wanted to work on my art. I did sketch this today, so I figure I’m going to try to sketch something every Sunday, using old fashion pencil and paper, and maybe digitize it during the week. So here’s the first one, a girl holding a stuffed Chewbacca (which I actually have, the stuffed animal not the girl).
