Have you ever had a song that reminds you of someone you’ve never met? Whenever I hear this song it reminds me of this girl that I’ve never actually met, but I wish I had the chance to.

“Into the Wilderness”

This is the opening to Wild Arms. My favorite PlayStation game of all time. Somedays I wish I had the time to replay it for the twelfth or whatever time.

Tuesday Tunes: “Jimmy Olsen’s Blues” - Spin Doctors

There have been times when I feel I’ve been competing with Superman. The problem is that I do not have a pocket full of Kryptonite, so how do I deal with losing out to the Man of Steel? The Spin Doctors, and hoping that one day my Lois Lane will put me in her plan.

Every Friday I listen to video game soundtracks while at work

Preferably more retro soundtracks from the SNES, 64, PlayStation days, including OC Remixed versions of said soundtracks. Here’s what’s on my playlist:

  • Donkey Kong Country
  • Donkey Kong Country 2
  • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
  • The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary
  • Wild Arms
  • Wild Arms 2
  • Wild Arms: Alter Code F (updated versions of Wild Arms OST)
  • Metroid Prime
  • Sonic the Hedgehog: The Sound of Speed
  • Harmony of a Hunter (Metroid tribute)
  • Video Games Live Level 2
  • Bastion

hi-koo #47 - headgear

Crank up the music.
Let the beats flow through your veins.
Turn down the world’s sound.

“The Wind Waker Symphonic Movement” from The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary

This takes me back. This game had such soothing music as well as some rather intense stuff too.

The Pillows just popped up on my iTunes. I think it’s that time of year again for some FLCL.

“Signs” - Bloc Party

I just went for a walk outside with the snow falling against the deep purple night with this song playing on my iPod and everything felt perfect. I felt like I was in an artsy music video, in a painting, in someone’s piece of art.

“Setting Sail” - Darren Korb, vocals by Ashley Barrett and Darren Korb

I beat Bastion this past weekend (I highly recommend it) and I absolutely love the soundtrack even more, especially this song.
