My attempt to imitate a favorite piece of mine by *muju. I didn’t get too detailed, but maybe if I choose to do more I will.

See this? This is my ticket to getting to play Halo 4 before you. Don’t worry, I’ll let you know if it’s good or not.

Tuesday Tunes: “Halo Theme Mjolnir Mix” - Martin O’Donnell

(Okay, so technically it’s Wednesday in the time zone that I usually write from)

This never gets old. Every time I hear this all I can think about is bouncing around in a Warthog while avoiding holes in a crumbling Halo installation, or taking out the Covenant left and right while avoiding the flood. Once you hear the choir kick in you know what time it is.

I’m not sure if the next Halo soundtrack will be quite the same without old Marty O’Donnell at the helm.

I just finished reading Halo: Glasslands

And I’m itching to do more Halo art, but I really need to practice on sketching armor and people first (and I have a few other small projects in the pipeline). I really enjoyed how the story brought together Spartans, ODSTs, the UNSC, and so many other things that all lie far beyond the games.

This is what I like about universes like this, it’s so deep and so much more impressive and imaginative than the mere surface things most people get their taste of, such as the games of Halo or the six Star Wars movies. There’s so much more. I just wish I could put down one of the many universes I’ve created on paper in either words or art.

Time. I just need more time. (And practice)

Halo Saga

Inspired by the art of Fabio Castro Soto and his Mass Effect Trilogy posters, these pieces focus on the Halo series (not counting Halo Wars) and the story of Earth, the Covenant, Master Chief, and the Forerunners.
